Pandora McCormick Lazuli Design

I’m Irish but I grew up in Kenya and now live in London. I’m a true mongrel, with a love for travelling and a magpie-eye for treasure.

Working in interior design, I’ve always found really good lighting to be the
trickiest challenge. I’ve been seeking out the perfect fabric for many years: beautiful, colourful, textured and functional.

The penny dropped when I had a memory of visiting Uganda as a child with my mother. I remember seeing large pieces of barkcloth being sold on the side of the road. I was struck by the vibrant terracotta colour and the way the light filtered through it.

Returning to Africa, I tracked down some of this fascinating material and started experimenting with it. Lazuli Design was born.
